As a school Principal or Teacher you may enroll your school in Student Central. It only takes two minutes to create your school's presence on StudentCentral.bigteams.com. If you have any questions please see Help Docs or email us at support@bigteams.com.
Yes, students who are younger than 13 may have an account on Student Central. Even though the Federal Trade Commission has said that programs like Student Central are exempted from the COPPA regulations, Student Central wants parents to know all about Student Central and that their child has an account on Student Central. So when a student younger than 13 creates an account, the parent's email address is required before the student account is activated. The parents are sent an email informing them of the student's account. The parents are provided links in the email so they may create an account and follow their student's activities, plus a link to the Student Central Student Central policies regarding the use of user information for students younger than 13. Additionally, no ads are shown to users younger than 13.
